Interactive Conversions and Measurements Spreadsheets

Use this spreadsheet just like Microsoft Office excel.  Follow the instructions on each spreadsheet in order to find out the information you’re looking for – such as converting ounces to cups.  Feel free to play around with the spreadsheet.  If you mess it up, just refresh the page and it will be set back to its default.

They added a new feature where you can download a copy of the spreadsheet easily to your computer by clicking “Save As Excel”

I hope this helps and shows you how important it is to work towards using a kitchen scale and weights instead of measurements and cups.

    Hi Jason,
I am enjoying learning about baking through your youtube videos and now just went to your site. I tried using poured fondant to ice napoleans and when it hardened the fondant texture was dull not shiny. Do you have any suggestions for me?

    • Hi Corinne! I’m sorry for the late reply. Did you use my fondant recipes? If you did neither of them come out very shiny – they have a matte surface. If you’re using store bought pouring fondant it should come out pretty shiny. If you heat your pouring fondant up too much it can cause a gritty texture in the final product and make it dull or matte. Try keeping it around 100 degrees F when warming it up. If you desire it to be thinner try using a 1:1 ratio simple syrup to thin it down.
