Granola Scones
If you’re looking for something different for breakfast then these granola scones maybe the answer! This is a super easy, super quick, super affordable recipe that I found online and I’m sharing with you. If there’s only one thing you make from this site – let it be these scones. It’s nearly effortless to make them! Not to mention, they are also really tasty!
Like I said in the video I typically stick with the Kashi brand of granola. That’s not because I’m big on organics or anything like that, though Kashi does make some healthy stuff, but mostly because for the price you pay the quality is there. Plus most other granola brands put those weird corn flakes in their granola – I guess because most people are eating it like cereal… I know that the mixer will probably break those flakes down but I’d rather not have those flakes in there to begin with. If you see the mountain medley variety of granola use it! It makes a really great mix in with the dried cranberries.
If you’re looking to donate product to a bake sale I highly recommend this recipe. Since it’s able to withstand sitting out at room temperature (these scones do not need to be refrigerated) it makes it ideal for bake sales without refrigeration and adds something unique to the typical rice crispy treat and cookie line up. In fact, every time I make these scones they sell like hotcakes and are one of the first products to go!
Remember if you’re going to freeze them at home I recommend freezing them individually before you bake them and then put them into a plastic container for storage. You can freeze them after they are baked but the fresh baked goodness is almost lost. 9 times out of 10 freezing dough is the better choice.
Here is the recipe for the granola scones and below is the video. Only one part this time! See, I’m serious! These scones are effortless to make! Enjoy!
