Episode 3 – The Monkey’s Lunch

Episode 3
The Monkey’s Lunch

This episode went pretty well.  I have to say there were no major screw ups and I’m getting a little bit better at recording my shows with me as the host and the camera man.  There was one major hitch though… I inverted the numbers for the ganache so instead of making a soft ganache I made a hard ganache which, when refrigerated, turns into a chocolate brick.  So if you’re thinking, “Gee, the on screen recipe and the paper copy recipe are different than what he is saying,” you would be correct.  See if you can catch during the ending credits where I realize that I mess up the recipe because my spoon can barely scoop up any ganache.  Anyway, this episode is shorter since the cookie recipe is in episode 2, so if you want the demo on the cookie recipe make sure to watch episode 2.

This week’s recipe PDF also include a page of tips for the three desserts.  Nothing special but just some tips that I may or may not have gotten to on the show.  Anyway, enjoy the Monkey’s Lunch recipe courtesy of the Aubergine Chef!

I used to try the similar recipe once and have done the same mistake and the ganache turns into a block of ice … Your picture look delicious though.. :)
